Tata Nano Super Drive Flagged In

Questions that were raised about the reliability, quality and safety standards of the Tata Nano have been put to rest – hopefully!

The Tata Nano Superdrive that went across 36 cities of India and covered an distance of nearly 15,000kms has finally ended, the convoy of Nano cars returned back to Mumbai after a 26 day voyage yesterday. To welcome the Nano Superdrive cars, none other than Mr. Ratan Tata Chairman Tata Sons & Tata Motors and Mr Ravi Kant Vice Chairman Tata Motors and Mr Carl Peter Forster Group CEO along with Mr P.M Telang Managing Director were present.

The Nano Superdrive was flagged off on June 2nd from the new Nano production facility at Sanand Gujrat with nine Nanos in all. During this drive the cars were divided in 3 groups with 3 Nanos in each group and these 3 groups of Nanos representing the 3 colors of the Indian flag ie Saffron, white and green headed out on 3 different routes also named after the colors of the Indian flag.

The Saffron group of Nanos drove across the north of India and touched cities like Udaipur, Jaipur, Hisar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Meerut, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gwalior, Kota.

The Nanos on the White group headed from the central to east of India and passed through Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Patna, Kolkata, Bhubneshwar, Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Aurangabad.

The last Nano group ie Green group did the route from the west and south India, and drove through cities like Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolhapur, Solapur, Nashik and Ahmedabad.

The Superdrive branded Nanos visited prominent landmarks in every city. Citizens at these landmarks and were greeted by enthusiastic crowds wherever it went. Test-drives for prospective customers were organised at these cities and they got a chance to experience the Nanos up-close.
