Tata Nano dealerships in Mumbai, booking amount, details

Update: It is super easy to book a Nano – all you need is Rs 2,999. Initially it was reported that it may be Rs 70,000; but this may not be the case. Wait and see. You can book the Tata Nano online. Also, Tata Nano application forms would be available from 9 April, and you can book your car only from then.

Tata Motors has said that the bookings for Tata Nano will be accepted from the day of its commercial launch, on March 23, 2009.

Buyers of the Tata Nano will  have to shell out Rs 70,000 as the booking amount.

The company has also said that the Tata Nano can be booked only through the State Bank of India (SBI) and not through its dealerships.

On March 6, 2009, Chief Manager of SBI, Jayanta Kumar Sinha, said, “SBI has been selected as the sole booking agent for Nano.”

Some dealers we spoke to said that no all dealerships will sell the Tata Nano. This is because of the limited numbers available in the first batch.
