Tata Motors plans to launch the Tata Indigo Vista, the sedan version of the Indica Vista .

The Tata Indigo Vista is likely to be priced between Rs 5-7 lakhs.

The Tata Indigo Vista sedan will be manufactured at the new Fiat-Tata joint venture at Ranjangaon in Maharashtra.

As per the reports, the Tata Indigo Vista diesel variant will be powered by a 1.3-Multijet engine of the Fiat Linea, and the petrol variant will be equipped with the 1.4 litre petrol engine powering the current Tata Indigo.

The diesel engine of the Tata Indigo Vista comes with a power rating of 85 bhp, producing a torque up to 203 Nm. The petrol engine, on the other hand, is rated 84 bhp and maximum torque of 110 Nm.

The Indigo Vista’s petrol variant engine also has variable geometric turbo which is usually seen in higher range cars that this one.

In comparison to Tata Indica Vista, the new Tata Indigo Vista will have distinct features and different interiors too. The speedometer of the sedan is placed at the centre of the dashboard and not in the usual right side.

The Tata Indigo Vista will also have ABS and air bags, but since the car is launched at a low price as compared to others, it comes only with seat belts and child lock safety features. The new Indigo Vista is no longer a wheelbase sedan as the current Indigo.

Auto analysts say that the car will be a competition for Suzuki Swift Dzire, Renault Logan, Hyundai Accent, Ford Ikon and the Chevrolet Aveo.

Expected specifications for the car are:

Engine: 1248cc (Diesel); 1396cc (Petrol)

Power: 85bhp; 84bhp

Torque: 203Nm; 110Nm
