India Yamaha Motor has launched the Yamaha FZ-S, a stylish version of the Yamaha FZ16, on March 2, 2009. The Yamaha FZ-S will cost Rs 67,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

This is something I have been postponing for a long time, and apologies to all those who posted comments on DWS Auto India about the Yamaha FZ16. I just could not publish all the comments. The reason is that the yamaha FZ16 stories on this site already have 100-plus comments, and publishing more comments from users about the bike was making the page incredibly long, and it would take too long to load. That would be bad for anyone on a slow connection.

Yamaha Motor India, fresh from the successful launch and great response for FZ-16, is now going ahead with plans to spruce up output. The bike major has said it would be  raising its production to 500 units a day from now on.

There has been a lot of confusion about the actual price of the recently launched Yamaha FZ16 motorcycle.

We have never seen the kind of interest the Yamaha FZ 16 has generated for any other motorcycle launch so far. Okay, maybe the Hero Honda Karizma, all those years back.
