VS Motors has unveiled its new Scooty Streak in the country, priced at Rs 35,800 (ex-showroom).

The joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and Kinetic is allset to roll out its revamped version of the Kinetic range of scooters. Mahindras had entered into a joint venture agreement with the Pune-based two-wheeler manufacturer some time ago.

Yamaha is lining up a splash in the Indian two-wheeler mart with an innovative gearless scooter. India Yamaha Motor, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Company of Japan is planning to enter into the gearless scooters segment, said an industry report.

Luminous Power Technologies plans to launch its electric scooter - possibly, the name would be Lectrix - in November 2008. The Luminous Lectrix will be part of a range of e-bikes that Luminous Technologies, part of the SAR group, will manufacture.

Indonesian conglomerate Salim Group will soon hit the tarmac with its new brand of two-wheelers. The Indian roads will have see a new two wheeler brand, Mahabharata Motors, by June 2009.
