
Bus manufacturer Ashok Leyland Ltd has decided to put on the back burner, for the time being, its joint venture with Japanese major Nissan Motor Company.

Nissan plans to launch their next generation small car model Nissan March in 2010, in India. The Nissan March would mark Nissan's entry into the automatic passenger car market.
The Hindujas have indicated that they might enter into the passenger car business in India, and are open to investments in the sector.
Identifying India as one among the five low cost nations, auto giant Nissan will roll out a slew of new generation compact cars from the country.
