It has been announced that Delhi will be the first city in India to ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD).  Introduction of ULSD in India will begin with Delhi in April 2010 and it is expected that Mumbai will follow suit.

Bus giant Ashok Leyland has been chosen by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to help in its fleet modernization program. Chennai-based Ashok Leyland has bagged a DTC order worth Rs. 4.8 billion. Ashok Leyland plans to build the chassis and the body for the buses its Alwar Plant.

MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) has acquired a fleet of Reva electric cars for their technicians.
