According to industry reports, the scheme comes with a bonus of Rs 5,000 over the market value of a non-Suzuki bike, and is aimed at increasing customer walk-ins into the company's showrooms.

It is normally during the festive season that dealers introduce a variety of scheme to woo prospective buyers. The popularity of Zeus is what makes Suzuki go for the scheme, it is learnt. Suzuki is happy that its Zeus is a preferred vehicle among the youth. Both Zeus and Heat are equipped with the same engine, but have different exterior styling features.

While the Zeus, born just six months ago, aims at the youth segment, the Heat looks at prospective buyers from among the general commuter. Priced at Rs 50,985 (ex-showroom Mumbai), the Zeus costs around Rs 5,000 more than the Heat model priced at Rs 45,043, (ex-showroom Mumbai). And, importantly during April-September period, the company has sold 29, 023 bikes.

With Zeus stealing all the heat from Heat, dealers too are rooting for the disc-braked Zeus. They too believe that the Zeus is sportier and more youthful.
