Suzuki GSX R125 – India-bound?

Motorcycle magazines are reporting that official pictures of the Suzuki GSX R125 have been leaked. We have collected whatever info is available about the motorcycle for your enjoyment and happiness!

Okay, that was a bit overboard. But if you are into 125 cc motorcycles with some power and style, perhaps this little Suzuki would impress you.

There is the chance that this bike could make it to our shores in India. Personally I don’t think so – the motorcycle is not officially launched yet, and even after the launch, manufacturers would normally take at least an year to launch it in India – if they do so at all.

But if the Suzuki GSX-R does come to India, it can provide some tough competition to the Yamaha YZF-R15, the little racer in India (Yes we know there are faster motorcycles like the Bajaj Pulsar 220, but the YZF-R15 remains our best racer.)

It is believed that the Suzuki GSX-R125 would produce around 15 bhp from its tiny four-stroke 125 cc engine. That is nothing great, but it will be the way the motorcycle is put together and quality of design and construction that would make a difference if it is launched in India.

The frame of the GSX-R125 will be a pressed steel frame, much like that of the Yamaha YZF-R15. The dials are supposed to be an analogue-LCD combo. Disc brakes front and rear are certain.

Overall, the GSX-R125 looks like a little brother of its superbike siblings, much like the YZF-R15.
