Skoda Fabia in 2007
Skoda's long-delayed Fabia finally
getting ready to hit Indian roads.

SkodaAuto is planning to unveil Skoda Fabia in India sometime next year. The car will be available in the petrol and diesel versions. Skoda officials have been quoted as saying that the car will be hatch back, with sizes which will make it eligible for the tax benefits for small cars in India.
Skoda Fabia, based on the Volkswagen platform, will be Skoda's first small car in India. The Fabia will be up against the Chevrolet Aveo UVA, due to roll out sometime later this year or next.
The Skoda Fabia in India will be powered by the 1.2 litre or 14 litre engine. The car, which was launched abroad six years ago, went in for a facelift in 2005. The model which will be introduced in India is expected to be the latest Fabia off the Skoda stable.
Currently, Skoda has Octavia, Superb, Laura and lauren & Klement among its India offerings.
