Force India F1 team may not have their own car yet – but that has not stopped Vijay Mallya from cashing in on the popularity of the sport in India. So the car can wait, but he has launched a new reality show in collaboration with MTV India called MTV Force India… The fast and the Gorgeous!

MTV Force India Fast & Gorgeous reality show - kindly note the graphic has a girl in a very short shorts.
The MTV-Force India-The Fast and the Gorgeous! reality show will have 20 hot women (women? MTV – get your words right!) who will compete in a race for the ultimate reward – they would be the face of Force India F1 in the 2009 season. The four winners of the Fast and the Gorgeous show will get to travel the world with the team, host the after-parties — Mallya’s parties are big, as everyone in the F1 world knows! – and well, their face and rest of the body would appear in the F1 calendar, and whatever publicity material the team would publish. MTV and Force India calls them the four divas. Whatever.
Doesn’t end there. The man who shoots all the barely-there beauties for the Kingfisher calendar – Atul Kasbekar – would be doing the photography for the Force India calendar.
Any female with a keen interest in speed can participate in the show. One can register on the site, www.mtvindia.com/fastandgorgeous. The website was unveiled on 10 February in the presence of the Chairman, Force India Formula One team, Mr. Vijay Mallya, the popular MTV veejay Rannvijay and the gorgeous bollywood star, Deepika Padukone.
There is even the hint of a promise that the girls might get a role in the next film by Percept Picture Company.
Stressing on the fact that India is full of stylish young girls who have a passion for speed, Vijay Mallya said, “Force India epitomizes the young and young at heart of the country and is India’s first truly global
foray at the pinnacle of sport. Force India combines aspiration, glamour and excellence in a heady blend. In our effort to reach out to the millions of young Indians who constitute the force of New India, we
are proud to partner with MTV and present India’s most innovative reality show, The Fast and The Gorgeous.”
Ashish Patil, GM and Sr. VP Creative & Content, MTV India said that MYV was proud to join hands with Force India to announce ‘MTV FORCE INDIA THE FAST & THE GORGEOUS’
Force India has decided to keep their two drivers in the 2008 season – Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella – for the 2009 season. David Coulthard, another veteran F1 driver who recently announced his retirement from Formula One, said that this year, Force India might be a surprise package. The team has terminated their alliance with Ferrari, and have a new deal with McLaren Mercedes in which they would be provided the engine, gearbox and KERS by the McLaren team. That may mean that there is a good chance the Force India team would be battling for position in the middle of the grid instead of languishing in the back of the grid. If they do that, they would have the winners of MTV Force India The Fast & The Gorgeous to cheer for them from the pits.
Indian girls are an absolute rarity in the F1 pits – the winners of the Force India The Fast & The Gorgeous would change that.
Now if only the team would perform…
