New Maruti Grand Vitara photo gallery

Compared to the old Grand Vitara, the new Grand Vitara-Escudo is quite a handsome beast.

Straight lines aplenty - some might say the new Grand Vitara looks a bit 1990s - but it is an extremely clean design. Not overwrought like the Scorpio, not new-fangled like the Honda CR-V, not dowdy like the Chevrolet Forester or  clumsy as the Hyundai Terracan.

In shades of white, it doesn't look particularly appealing though.

The rear pillar is a more conservative version of the CR-V? We would prefer this one anyday over the CR-V's oval rear window.

Gearshift looks classy. But we don't know what it will look like in the Indian version though.

The new Grand Vitara as lifestyle vehicle? We are no surfers in India, but the colour looks very appealing indeed. No news yet from Maruti about whether this colour will be available in India.
