Seems there is quite a bit of interest in what the interiors of Xylo are like. I personally do not care much about the Xylo – but the market does! And as we are dependent on the pleasure of the visitors to the site, I have no choice but to give you a detailed review of the interior of the Xylo.

The msot important factor first: The Xylo’s interiors are truly spacious. There is sufficient leg-room, even in the rear seat. So the rear seats are not for the kids or servants anymore! Fabric seats are comfortable enough and of reasonable quality. The front and middle row seats of the Xylo can be tilted back to form something resembling an aircraft business-class seat. There is sufficient lumbar support all around – nothing much to complain about by MPV standards for sure. Driver’s seat can be adjusted for height, a definite plus in the Xylo. Nothing to complain about the Xylo’s headroom either. Steering can be tilted.

The arm-rests are comfortable. The front seats of the Xylo have fold-out trays, again like in aircraft. They are convenient enough for keeping a glass of water, your phone or a book.

Xylo's underseat storage
If you notice from the photos, there are no single rear bench seats facing each other – a standard feature in most MPVs used by the taxu trade. Mahindra has deliberately chosen not to offer that, I think, to ensure the Xylo is not bought for tourist taxi purposes.

And a place for your spectacles!
Mahindra has also thoughtfully given the Xylo convenient mobile and laptop charging points – they have really pushed the envelope in trying to live up to their Sedan-Plus slogan as faras interiors are concerned.

You get under-seat storage too – very useful. There is a little spot where you can keep your spectacles locked up when you don’t need it.
What you may not like entirely is that the engine noise encroaches into the interior for sure. Mahindra could have done better sound-proofing. Hopefully, we will see that in the next generation Xylo.
The driver’s cabin of the Mahindra Xylo is an odd mish-mash of styles – I really do not know what to think about it. On the one hand, there is the 2 DIN entertainment system which can play back MP3s, and even has USB and SD card capability. That is something which even some medium luxury sedans like the Honda Civic do not have. You would also like the Mahindra Xylo’s Digital Dirve Assist System which calculates mileage and a number of other things like temperature and humidity.
If pure aesthetics are what you are looking for, you may not find that here in the Xylo. But convenience and space, they are in abundance.
