Mahindra Tractor range launched in Turkey

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched its new tractor series in Turkey, in partnership with ILCE Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret. ILCE Otomotiv is also the distributor for the Mahindra Goa and pick up range in Turkey.

M&M has introduced tractors in three ranges: 55 HP, 60 HP and 65 HP range of tractors. The three range of tractors, part of the 00 Series, have a good track record in Australia and the US. The three tractor series are specialised in all farming activities ranging from secondary tillage to crop protection and mowing. The 65 HP M&M tractor has a high performance engine, easy shift transmission, single speed PTO, and big lift capacity.

M&M says that its tractors with strong durable features would cater to small and medium farmers. These farmers, comprise almost 80 per cent of the farming community in Turkey.  The tractors are fuel-efficient with powerful engines and are available at affordable prices.

The ILCE Group has an established dealer network and is very active in the finished motor vehicle logistics and transportation field. M&M is one of the top tractor brands in the world, and the only tractor company to win the highly prestigious Deming Application Prize and the Japan Quality Medal.

M&M has a wholly-owned subsidiary called Mahindra USA, with three assembly plants catering to the US market. This unit sells around 10,000 tractors on an yearly basis.

M&M has recently acquired a 51 per cent stake in Chinese player Jiangsu Yueda Yancheng Tractor Manufacturing Co, which is the second tractor venture of M&M in China. M&M already has a tractor business in China, Mahindra China Tractor Co.
