Hyundai i10 sales climb

Its celebration time at Hyundai Motor India with the car maker clocking the fastest three lakh i10 sales in a small period of time. The laudable figures have been recorded since its launch on October 31, 2007.

Hyundai has said it has sold three lakh i10 cars so far. Of these more than 1.44 lakh cars have been sold in the domestic market. Meanwhile, as many as 1.56 lakh i10s have been exported to over 100 countries across Latin America, European Union, Middle East and South East Asia, making Hyundai Motor India the largest exporter from India.

Hyundai sources have said that the i10 model had achieved the fastest sales numbers compared to its competitors. The fastest 3 lakh sales have come about as great achievement for the company and it has further boosted the credibility and reputation of the i10 small car.

The Hyundai i10, fully made in India, was first made public in December, 2007 at the Bologna Motor Show. Ever since, the company had been in the midst of huge export orders. The company has said it has constantly focused on the best design, technology or the best value for money proposition factors in a bid to keep the customer happy as he chooses the i10.

The sales figures have now endorsed the company’s thoughts. Hyundai Motor India officials said that the popularity of the i10 proves that its customers value the parameters set by Hyundai Motor India

Reviewers have reiterated that the i10 meets the stringent safety and emission norms even in the European market and has become an undoubted segment leader in both the domestic and overseas market. The i10 has already bagged a handful of awards, including the Car of the Year 2008.
