Hyundai India's scheme aims for
more women buyers
Hyundai lures women for a drive.
BY OUR AUTO CORRESPONDENT
February 16, 2006: The fairer sex
has reasons to celebrate. Auto giant
Hyundai Motor India has unveiled a
special scheme targeted at women
buyers across India. The idea is to
encourage car ownership among women.
With the second largest car
manufacturer in the country has
announced its HMIL Special Women
Scheme, women customers can now avail
of specialized loan packages like free
third year warranty and other
women-friendly features on purchase of
new Hyundai cars, a report said.
The scheme valid from February 12 to
February 28, 2007, would be available
on all Hyundai Santro and Getz models,
the report added.
To make this possible, the car maker
has entered into tie-ups with as many
as 14 banks and auto finance companies
making them the scheme’s finance
partners. Close on the heels of HMIL
announcing the offer, ICICI Bank has
come out with a special car loan
product for woman. As per this, women
car buyers will get special benefits
like lower interest, lower processing
fee, waivers on foreclosure charges,
discounts on gold purchases from ICICI
Bank and free credit card as well as
savings account.
Hyundai India’s new offer comes in the
wake of women car buyers steadily
increasing in India. Automobile firms
are going all out to lure women with
loan schemes and other distinctive
offers.
