Honda CBF Stunner motorcycle launched

Honda’s new motorcycle CBF Stunner is a mean little 11 bhp, 124 cc machine

The CBF Stunner is here. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has unveiled its new 125 cc sports bike, the CBF Stunner, for the Indian market.

CBF Stunner motorcycles will be available in three vresions – Self Disc Alloy (Price Rs 51,655), Self Drum Alloy (Price: Rs 49,820) and Kick Drum Alloy (Price: Rs 47,070). At this point, Honda will offer the Stunner CBF in red, black, metallic silver and yellow colours.

Lookswise, you could call it a mini-Karizma. It looks like a well-put together package for sure. We think it looks the best in yellow, the bright colour nicely contrasting with the matte black handlebars and black front fairing.

Basic specifications of the Honda Stunner CBF are as follows:

125cc, 11 bhp
Kerb Weight: 129 kg
Wheelbase: 1271mm
Fuel tank capacity: 10 litres

Tubeless tryes
Front 80/100-17 and Rear: 100/90-77
Front Brakes: 240mm Disc or 130mm Drum
Rear Brake: 130mm drum

Starting:  Kickstart / Electric

5 speed transmission
Trip meter

Honda claims acceleration figures of 0-60 kmph at 5.2 seconds for the CBF Stunner. Take it with a pinch of salt, the motorcycle weighs 129 kg, and even the iconic Yamaha RX 100 could not do that. It will be good, we are sure though.

Honda intends to sell 10 lakh motorcycles during 2008-2009 fiscal year, out of which the company expects 80,000 to be CBF Stunner motorcycles. Honda has priced the Stunner CBF bike between Rs 47,070 and Rs 51,655 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

Apart from the CBF Stunner, the company also has lined up measures to roll out two more new motorcycle models in 2008. Plus, there is an 800 cc motorcycle from Honda in the pipeline for India, though details are sketchy at this moment. We hear the 800 cc motorcycle would be priced above Rs 10 lakh, and that is real close the just-launched Suzuki Hayabusa.

Honda had posted sales figures of of 9.07 lakh units in the previous fiscal, aims at selling as many as 3 lakh motorcycles and 7 lakh scooters this fiscal.

The bike major which had plans to come up with a new manufacturing facility seems to have put such plans in the backburner and is focusing on improving sales. The company currently boasts of a production capacity of 1.2 million units.

    i rode d bike guys…….i got mine…….silver n black……..seating is perfect n so is d control…….very very smooth in running……..easy gear shifting………body is quite light so its easy to handle………overall d bike gr8………wht more can u expect from a 125 cc sexy machine………..looks r perfect…….no doubt in tht………overall 9.9/10……….0.1 deducted coz d company cud given it a bit more of power…….the power of acceleration……..

    I own the red color top model.
    The bike is just awesome, i am the very first owner of red color top model in delhi.
    Mileage is around 45-48kmpl on city roads and 55+ on highways,though m sure that it’ll increase after first service.
    Acceleration is really good, though i am controlling my hands till the first service but company says that it will reach around 115-120kmph tag,so it is fair enough for a 125 cc bike.
    Bike is sporty , a superb combination of Karizma(front) and rear of Hunk.
    Good sitting posture.
    In every aspect it is giving a tough competition to 150cc engines.

    I think bhp of stunner is not upto the mark that was expected after seeing the YAMAHA R15 which is only 150cc & giving the bhp of Karizma which is 223cc………
    The bhp of stunner should b around 14 or more than that,but its only 11………
    But the price of the bike reasonable………

    hii…i’m frm hyderabad…wel it gt d luks frm d frnt,wht every bikr desires off….but wht i feel is dat it cud be modified further at rear(particularly tail light)…to give out the best look …by increasing the thickness of the rear tyre and also by decreasing the space between the silencer and the rear tyre…what abt the xact price on road price and xact mileage…??

    i am from hyderabad, i was eagerly waiting for the launch of STUNNER but soon after the specifications of the bike were released, i was a bit disappointed to know that it is powered by just a 125cc and 11 bhp engine.. which doesn’t go hand-in-hand with the looks of the bike. Honda could have powered it with a bigger engine and more sporty looks (considering the rear). Though it looks good but could have been better.

    Stunner is lanunched on friday 8th Aug 2008 in hyderabad,as said by salesman. I have booked the stunner silver and it comes for 56,495(Hyderabad) for self -drum-alloy!another ~1400 for accessories and teflon coat etc.
    I test drived it,byke control is good..125CC is ok for its weight,gives around 60 per lite as said by dealer.
    one thing ..the supply of byke is a big problem for HONDA..long waiting time..but luclky i was amoung few early customer,about to get it..Acually I planned for shine …but stunner appeled me a lot.

    Its a blend of Karizma,front looks.Shine engine(Extra 1 bhp,11 bhp; shine ,which is 10 bhp),facilities of Honda unicorn..60 milage is good ,i have to test it.
    lets hope for the best…

    this bike is oustanding. i have been wating for a bike like this for years….thanks to honda. Honda is the best company in the world and shoul be thankfull for its presence in india. look and body wise its close to Karisma and the resently launched Yamaha bike (which coata between Rs.80,000 to 1,20000) which we cant afford. but yet mailage will be more due to 125cc. I had booked this bike when i saw this bike first time.its worth for its cost. due to huge demand it takes 25 t0 40days for delevary. for sure i will get more and more girl friends in my list when i get this bike. this is an answer from bike industry to a car industry which is launching Rs 1 lakh car to pull buyers back.

    Dear fren for any bike it is not suggested to ride in reserve for more than 4-5 kms…..but since the Stunner has a reserve Capacity of 2-3 litres then u can calculate for ur own as to hw long u can go but i wud suggest DO NOT RIDE LONG DISTANCES IN RESERVE………….PLZ READ UR OWNER’S MANUAL THOROUGHLY….its suggested….hope this helps u

    I have seen the bike and the dealer himself told me that the bike is good and mileage what you want to know is 50-55 kmpl in city and 55-60kmpl on highway. but still the bike is great. Go for it instead of 150cc. you’ll get everything in this bike. in other bikes you will miss some things but this is full packed bike.

    Guys…i own this bike, am fully satisfied, but had tough time with after sales service. my bike had a defective shock absorber. but some how managed to replace free of cost. I was disappointed due to the below issues.

    1. How can a bike with such defect come to maket.

    2. when complained while delevary, they said will be ok after some days ( misleading)

    3. Poor followup for replacment. 4.
    when i complained in feedback colom in honda web sight there was no reply. 4. i had to spend lot of time calling and going to show room to resolve
    this problem. hond is known for quality of service but this is my experince.

    Nice bike with sporty looking. I have a glamour 4m hero honda, but when i hav seen it, i just fall in luv. On road it is damm faster dan glamour n also in accelaration.

    Guys as soon as possible go 4 dat. Its mileage is 50-70. Top class accelation like pulsar or cbz. Good handling with disc break. Rear tyre almost same thick as cbz or hunk. Price is much less dan others. 5 gear with self start. Head light is brighter as pulsar 200. Top speed is 115 .
    So when u will get ur all requirements within a cheap price bike, why go 4 others.
    Believe me after getting u ll say it is dashing. Very soon i will afford 4 it.

    Honda the name says it all….

    but i was looking Stunner to be at 150CC bike.. But i am disappointed to hear its 125CC… I own a Honda Unicorn bike and trust me this Bike is awesome and amazing Power and off course the mileage is just amazing.. I am using Unicorn for 3 years now and its stable like a rock on maintenance n stuff.

    I was looking stunner to be something like Honda Unicorn 150cc.. No doubt Stunner has the style in it. But my only issue was power 150CC..

    Why would people prefer a 125CC For 60,000/- where now u can get Pulsar or suzuki or hero honda etc for almost same price but with 150CC..

    Honda has to do something where it can compete with Suzuki FZ16 or the YZF-R15 like of bikes. these are bike fast selling in Indian markets already. and they are popular already..

    So Honda has to be bring something New, Better, Stylist and a awesome Power Machine.

    I agree that pulsar is good but compare the prices….. .. 54000 & 68000 I mean you are getting everything in 54000 except a few BHP . And if you compare it with CBZ extreme , which reaches 0-60 kmph in 5 seconds. My beautiful Heather (My HONDA STUNNER CBF) gets the same in 5.20 seconds. Then lets come to the average, pulsar or cbz gives the max average of 50kmpl where my darling Heather gives me the average of 65 KMPL & the first service is yet to be done.

    What do ya people say ?

    balance in unbelievable i inclined it so close the foot rest of bikes touches the road but bike never shows it going to out of control …
    and come to millage my bike never gives me average more than 54km/ltr
    my one frds have same bike and he clam 65Km/ltr average but i never got more than 54KM/ltr

    West Midnapore W.B . I have buy the stunner cbf october 2008. Black ,self @ drum.Iam now satisfied with this bike now it give me 74-76/kpl in high way.. and 62 -65/kpl in town.
