Discounts on Chevrolet Spark and other cars in India

The Chevrolet Spark, from the General Motors India stables, has sold 3 million units on a global level. The feat comes about as a testimony to the overwhelming popularity of the Chevy Spark among car lovers.

The car maker has in the meanwhile gone into celebration mode and is readying to make it moementous an occasion. General Motors India has announced mega schemes for March. It has lined up limited offers across its carlines and they include a Rs 55,000 offer on the Chevrolet Spark, Rs 28,000 on the Chevrolet Tavera, Rs 50,000 on the Chevrolet Aveo, Rs 30,000 on the Aveo U-VA and Rs 70,000 on the Chevrolet Optra Magnum.

The company believes that the Spark has turned a hit globally. Further it is among GM India’s bestselling cars in the country. With the popularity graph on the uptrend, officials said that more and more customers have been reassured by the quality, economy and performance of the best-selling car. Officials added that the company is now more confident that the award-winning Spark has the potential to register higher growth volumes, month-on-month.

The car which has already become a best seller, had also won the prestigious JD Power Initial Quality Study Award for 2007 as well as year 2008. The quality benchmark had rated the car the best for its quality features and exemplary fuel economy. Further, the car’s features, including safety and fuel efficiency have been applaude on a global level.

The cars are made at the two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities – at Halol in Gujarat and Talegaon in Maharashtra. GM India manufactures the Chevrolet Optra Magnum, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet SRV, Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Tavera and Chevrolet Captiva for the Indian market.

With the popularity graph rising for the Chevy Spark and other models, the company hopes to return to its normal best even if the recessionary trend continues.
