Pretty much most people who are into motorcycles have tired of the small capacity motorcycles from manufacturers. At this point, apart from the 350cc and the 500 cc motorcycles such as the new Bullet Classic models from Royal Enfield, there is nothing above 220 cc – and then you have the imported superbikes. We frankly would have preferred to write only stories about motorcycles which are more exciting. But like the manufacturers, we know where the volumes and big money is – at the low end of the market.

As it is powered by a 100 cc engine, there is no chance of any power output above 8 bhp from the CB Twister. It will be launched / unveiled officially during the upcoming 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi in January 2010, and as we near that date, we will likely get hold of a few better photos and more detailed specifications of the CB Twister.

For a 100 cc motorcycle, the CB Twister is nicely styled – it looks a bit too tall for its length in the photos though. The engine looks a bit tiny, but the plastic bits attacked to the tank look sharp. We can see a front disc brake, alloy wheels, and drums at the rear, plus twin shock absorbers. There is a kick-starter, but it is quite likely that the CB Twister would feature an electric start. After all, Honda has already said that they would not really be competing with the mass-market bikes in this segment but will try to have their own niche. That would mean this would be a sophisticated machine, much in the tradition of all Honda vehicles.

There is no info available on the price of the CB Twister yet.
