Bentley Brooklands Coupe, Azure, Continental GT convertible to come to India

Bentley is planning to roll out the limited edition Brooklands Coupe in India, in 2008. The luxury car will be priced at Rs 4 crore (approximately).

The four seater, hand-crafted car with two-door sports body, which had made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show recently, will have a 6.75 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The Brooklands Coupe will be manfactured in very limited numbers. Globally, only 550 units of Brooklands are expected be manufactured in the next three to four years. According to reports, India will be allocated only two Brooklands. Overall, India has been allocated 25 units of all Bentley cars in India.

The Bentley Brooklands coupe will take on the Rs 5.5-crore Maybach and the Rs 3.5-crore Rolls Royce Phantom, in India. Bentley already sells its Arnage and the Continental series in India, all priced in the Rs 3-crore plus range.

Bentley is also planning to roll out the Bentley Azure and the Continental GT convertible priced at Rs 3 crore plus and Rs 2.2 crore, respectively. The Bentley Azure will be available in 2008, while the Bentley Continental GT convertible will be launched shortly by June 2007.

Bentley has also announced its plans to enter the second-hand market in India. Bentley will buy used Bentleys, refurbish and sell them along with their new range.
