BENTLEYS IN INDIA

Bentley Azure, Continental GTC for India

20 September, 2007

Bentley’s two new convertible models - Azure and Continental GTC - will hit the Indian roads soon.

According to industry reports, the Azure and Continental GTC will be priced at Rs 3.80 crore and Rs 2.10 crore, respectively. Bentley, through its India dealership, will look at selling around 25 units in the Indian market in 2007.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Bentley is also working on setting up its second dealership in Mumbai before end 2007. This means it would be adding one more to its existing dealership in Delhi, which was opened in 2003. Bentley has sold close to around 50 cars in the Indian market since its India re-entry.

The company wants to keep the Bentley brand exclusive while evenly balancing the demand around the world.

Bentley, which is looking at posting annual sales of 10,000 vehicles for the first time in 2007, has also been looking at unveiling environment-friendly versions soon, to become a popular player in its segment.

The auto maker will decide in spring 2008 on going green, said a report.
