Toeing the lines of many other car makers in India, luxury car major Audi India has also gone ahead and cut prices of its models. The price cut announced is to the tune of Rs. 2.79 lakh.
The cut in prices has come following the government’s announcement on reduction in CENVAT. With the new price cut having been effected, the Audi luxury sedan A8 will come cheaper by Rs 2.79 lakh. The car will now be available for prices starting from Rs 71,15,000 onwards. Meanwhile, the Audi A6 is cheaper by Rs. 1.51 lakh and the new prices start from Rs. 38,18,000 onwards.
Besides, Audi has also cut prices of other models too. The A4 sedan has been made cheaper by Rs. 1.21 lakh with its new prices starting from Rs. 28,54,000 onwards. Meanwhile, Audi’s sports-utility vehicle Audi Q7 now comes cheaper by Rs. 1.85 lakh and will be available from Rs. 52,40,000 onwards.
The company has a model range in India that comprises the Audi A8, Audi Q7, Audi A6, the new Audi A4, the Audi TT and the recently launched super sports car Audi R8. Available at as many as 12 outlets across the country, the company is looking at more locations. The luxury car brand is available now in cities such as Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.
Over the past one year, Audi has been able to post good sales growth, said the car maker. During the first eight months of this year, sales have grown up to over 190 per cent.
The Audi showrooms have been designed to give the customer a complete Audi experience – the whole Audi model range with different equipments and the ‘Audi world’ with the international standards of Audi Corporate Identity. The interior is being designed with unique and exquisite materials from different countries: furniture from Germany, lights from Japan, the floor from Austria and tiles from Italy.
