German luxury car manufacturer Audi has said it has appointed five new dealerships at Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Ludhiana. Audi’s dealership network now expands to 12 locations across India.

He added that the company is expanding to twelve exclusive and luxurious Audi dealerships in India. “This will give customers the possibility to experience our models, the Audi world and premium service,” Tiers said.

Audi Ahmedabad (Nixynova Motoren), Audi Chennai (Jubilant Enpro), Audi Kochi (Patel Cars), Audi Kolkata (Imperial Auto) and Audi Ludhiana (Jaycee Motors) dealerships will be among the largest luxury car showrooms in their cities. The showrooms will have separate modern Audi workshop to service all Audi models. However, the dealerships have already started operating from their sales offices.

The showrooms will be designed to give the customer a complete Audi experience – the whole Audi model range with different equipments and the “Audi world” with the international standards of Audi Corporate Identity.  The interior is being designed with unique and exquisite materials from different countries: furniture from Germany, lights from Japan, the floor from Austria and tiles from Italy.

In addition to the five newly appointed dealers, the Audi model range of Audi A8, Audi Q7, Audi A6, Audi A4 and Audi TT is available at present in seven dealership showrooms across the country: in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Gurgaon.

The company had achieved its twelfth consecutive record year in 2007, with 964,151 cars sold and a revenue of 33,617 million Euros and profit before tax of 2,915 million Euros. Audi makes its cars in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm (Germany), Gyor (Hungary), Changchun (China) and Brussels (Belgium). At the end of 2007, production of Audi A6 started in Aurangabad, India. The company is active in more that 100 markets worldwide. Audi India, based in Mumbai, commenced its business activities in 2007.
