2009 Audi A6 launched in India

Audi has launched a new variant of its existing sedan Audi A6, in India.

The new 2009 Audi A6 will be available in the Indian market in the first week of May 2009, for Rs.38.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

“The Audi A6 is the most successful business sedan worldwide and one of our main contributors to our achievement in the Indian market. We believe the new Audi A6 will be one of the key players in the Indian luxury car market,” Audi India Managing Director Benoit Tiers said.

He said that has been a significant growth driver for Audi and will be the car market of the future.

“In 2009 Audi celebrates 100 years of the brand and the launch of the new Audi A6 is Audi’s continued commitment to the Indian market to offer luxury cars with superior technology, thrilling design and high performance to provide an unforgettable experience to our customers,” he added.

The new 2009 Audi A6 has been priced around Rs 2 lakh below the existing Audi A6 model.

The business sedan will be available in six colours namely, Aventurin Blue, Dakar Beige, Ice Silver, Oyster Grey Phantom Black and Ibis White.

The company has said that the exterior and interior of the A6 has been redesigned to give the new Audi A6 stronger lines and slightly sporty undertone.

The new 2009 Audi A6 has a coupe style roof line and a distinctive single-frame radiator grille in the front. The fog lamps, bumpers, and air vents have been improved upon.

The new 2009 Audi A6 comes with four powerful new-generation engine variants, the 3.0 litre TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.0TDI, and 2.7TDI.

The new 2009 Audi A6 is said to have a higher equipment level than its predecessor. Its features include the Audi’s advanced Audi Multi Media Interface system, the MMI, that helps control any function of the car.

The car’s instrument panel uses new higher-resolution graphics.

The company has said that the new 2009 Audi A6 is spacious, and has 546 litres of luggage space. The car has an electromechanical parking brake and a leather steering wheel in a sporty four-stroke design.

All 12 Audi dealerships, in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata, will sell the new Audi A6 along with the Audi A8, Audi Q7, Audi A4, and Audi TT.
