Holden VE Commodore range voted best large car in Australia

14 December, 2007

This is one vehicle range that has managed to pocket a slew of laurels in just one year of its launch. The VE Commodore has bagged awards ranging from Drive COTY Peopleís Choice Awards 2007, Drive COTY Best Ute 2007, Carsguide Readerís Choice Award 2007, Motor Bang For Your Bucks 2006 & 2007, Wheels COTY 2006, News Ltd Car Of The Year 2006 to the Drive People's Choice Award 2006 have all come calling.

And as if that was not enough, the VE Commodore range from GM Holden has now been voted the numero uno large car by car buyers using carsales.com.au.

Incidentally, this is the third consumer-based award for the Holden Commodore Sedan and Ute in 2007, an auto news report said. The Carsales Network Peopleís Choice Awards are decided by car buyers from all new vehicles currently on the market, it added.

A clear winner, the Holden Commodore came trumps after being voted as the performer in the large car category. This award was a result of polling more than double the votes of its traditional large car competitors. Though all the vehicles in the Commodore range have been crowd pullers, the VE Commodore stands head and shoulders above its siblings.

The report said that the Carsales Network Peopleís Choice Award stands testimony to this fact.

Australian sales of new VE Commodores have shot up by 40 per cent compared to the figures registered in year 2006. Meanwhile, the sales of the V8 model are also all set to see a record high, the report pointed out.
