Renault has launched the Twingo Renaultsport after launching its F1 Team's all new R28 Formula One race car. Twingo Renaultsport is a high-performance, affordable car, which fits into into the Renaultsport catgory.

The other cars in the Renaultsport range are the Clio and Mégane Renaultsport . Autonews review reports said that the new machine is a hot hatch with looks to match and has been designed to deliver both enjoyable road-holding and sports performance.

Complete with an efficient, balanced chassis, it combines a flexible 133hp engine likely to place those prefer sporty cars for daily use. Twingo Renaultsport's compact proportions and incisive, assertive styling are taken from the Twingo Concept show car which was unveiled at the 2006 Paris Show. The Twingo Renaultsport has a wider front and rear wings, profiled sills and rear spoiler. Its chassis is both responsive and finely tuned to provide precise, balanced handling, while specific work on its new 133hp 1,598cc engine reveals a punchy temperament, said the report.

The Twingo Renaultsport is likely to be unveiled in the UK in the autumn of 2008, followed by a worldwide launch at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 2009.
