Opel/Vauxhall Meriva Concept photo Geneva Motor Show 2008
19 February, 2008 BY OUR AUTOMOBILE CORRESPONDENT The next level of monocab flexibility will be on show at the Geneva Motor Show that opens on March 6, 2008. Opel/Vauxhall is set to roll out the dynamically styled Meriva Concept right on time for the show.

Talking of safety, the report said that the rear-hinged rear doors improve control over children exiting the car, as they can be better seen from the different seating positions. It said that a safety zone between both doors makes it difficult for kids to step out into traffic than with conventional doors. FlexDoors' smooth operation is backed up by an array of patented innovations developed by GM engineers. A safety system ensures the doors can only be opened from the inside or outside when there is no risk to the passengers. The Opel / Vauxhall Meriva Concept also features an automatic electronic child lock.
