Nissan's subsidiary luxury brand Infiniti plans to enter the European market from October 2008. To start with, Infiniti will launch its crossover model, the restyled 2009 Infiniti FX at the Geneva Motor Show. This will be the first time that an Infiniti model will be unveiled outside the US.
Along with the 2009 Infiniti FX, the other launches from Nissan's Infiniti brand will include the V6 powered G Sedan, G Coupe, and EX37 Coupe crossover. These Infiniti models will be launched across Europe, along with the second generation Infiniti FX, from October 2008. The Infiniti FX, Infiniti EX37, Infiniti G Sedan, and the Infiniti G Coupe will be customized to suit European conditions.

The 2009 Infiniti FX will be launched on March 4, 2008, at a private ceremony, and will then be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show from March 5, 2008.
The new Infinity FX, dubbed the FX50/FX55, according to reports, is likely to have a V8 powered 5.5-liter engine instead of the 3.5-liter V-6 of US models. Although details are not available about changes in design, the 2009 Infiniti FX is not expected to undergo any dramatic changes. Some reports say that Nissan's European technical center in London will give the Europe-bound 2009 Infiniti FX, the Infiniti EX37, the Infiniti G Sedan and the Infiniti G Coupe stiffer suspensions and more powerful brakes.
The 2009 Infiniti FX50/55 is expected to weigh lesser than the current Infiniti FX, making it much faster on the roads. The spy photos of the 2009 Infiniti FX available on many sites suggest that the 2009 Infiniti FX will be even more sporty than the current Infiniti FX, with flowing lines, sharp LED taillights, and an Around View Monitor system that will help the driver in parking the car using four cameras.
There is also a possibility of an optional hybrid power train for the 2009 Infinity FX, which will have an electric motor to provide assistance to gasoline engines at both low and high speeds. The Hybrid Infiniti FX is not expected until 2011 or later.
The stylish Infiniti EX37 that will also be displayed at the Geneva Auto SHow will have a 3.7-litre V6 engine with seven-speed automatic transmission. The Infiniti EX37 will also have the Around View Monitor system.
The other Infiniti EX37 features include Lane Departure Prevention and a Scratch Shield. The Scratch Shield is a paint that self-heals scratches with the help of a highly elastic resin. According to Nissan, the Infiniti EX37 crossover will be pitted against the BMW X3 and Audi A4 3.2FSI quattro avant.
