6 March 2005: This is going to be interesting. One of the first cars to overtake Narain karthikeyan in his debut F1 series will be the red Ferrari F2004M of Michael Schumacher.

Nothing surprising there. Michael did not attempt a qualifying time in the second session of qualifying - anyway he was already down at 18th position after first qualifying, and there really was no point.

So Michael Schumacher, Felippe Massa, Takuma Sato and his own teammate will be lined up behind Narain Karthikeyan's yellow Jordan Toyota EJ-15 at the start of the Melbourne Grand Prix.

We are not sure about Narain's position on the race grid yet. That information will be available any minute now and we will update this page immediately.

Meanwhile, here are the qualifying timings for the second qualifying session today at Albert park, Melbourne, Australia. (Remember, the final race grid positions are based on aggregate timings of both the qualifying sessions, so just being no.1 in this does not mean you will be no.1 in the race grid.)
