Narain karthikeyan is in Sepang early to get better used to the weather and climate conditions in Malaysia. The weather is hot and humid, making it extremely stressful for the F1 drivers. Perhaps Narain, being from the humid climes of Chennai, may find it easier compared to the dirvers from Europe and North America! Bt then, one also has to remmeber tthat these are rivers with more F1 racing experience.

At the Melbourne F1 2005, while Narain Karthikeyan was extremely lucky in starting at the 12th positionon the grid, owing to a slow start, he went to 18th position. Then he had to slwly claw his way back up to 15 over the course of the race.

Probably, Narain karthikeyan was worried that he may stall the car on the grid on his first ever F1 race, and was too cautious in his start at Melbourne, Australia.

''I hope for a better outing here at Sepang circuit, where I expect the race to be tougher,'' said Narain. ''I hope to improve on my starting where the problem has been identified and would be rectified,'' he added.

Narain has raced in Malaysia before, though not in F1. karthikeyan was the overall winner of the 1996 Formula Asia circuit at the Batu Tiga circuit in Shah Alam.

Narain's preparation for the tough F1 racing world includes a massive amount of exercise, and it has been a good four hours per day for the Indian driver even in Malaysia. Narain will have to maintain his headstart over Tiago Monteiro and hopefully, try to improve his position in this race. F1 fans in India are waiting to see him get into the points as quickly as possible, and perhaps show some daredevilry, but that may be too much to expect from the rookie Indian driver, driving a modified Jordan f1 car from last year.
