26 August , 2005: First things first. We are talking all alumnum, which emans this Jaguar is 31 % than its predecessor XK. The production Jaguar XK will have a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter ( 4200 cc) Jaguar AJ-V8 engine, producing all of 300bhp. The 2007 XK has 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and 14.4 seconds for the quarer-mile print. Now, that is just a second more than the time the 2007 XK's predecessor which was supercharged would take. Not bad at all. the car can achieve an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The 6 gear manual sequential shift uses a paddle shift.

Here is an excerpt from the Jaguar press release, "Light and agile, the all-new Jaguar XK accelerates faster, stops quicker than the previous generation, steel-bodied XK8 and has exceptional dynamic abilities, as Jaguar's Chief Engineer Mike Cross, explains: "The XK may be the epitome of sporting elegance but it is also a true driver's car in which we have managed to combine a very special balance of superb driving dynamics and comfort."

Jaguar says that aeropace technologies have been used in the new XK, and it used aluminum body structures and rivet-bonding techniques for exceptional rigidity.

The 2007 Jaguar XK will be available from spring-2006, and it will be followed by a convertible version of the XK.
