BMW M3 Coupe is the Drive Car of 2007

According to an auto news report, as many as eight scribes from The Melbourne Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, and www.drive.com.au picked the M3 Coupe from among 44 top cars in 13 categories as the overall most outstanding car of the year. According to the writers the M3 had all in it to win the prize, saying that it is the best among luxury performance cars.
The M3 Coupe is a result of BMW engineers’ expertise to make the new model more useable, more refined, more technologically advanced and even faster, pointed out the report. The car incorporates a best performance engine, unbelievable grip, four comfortable seats, and comes with a price tag of around $40,000, cheaper than a comparable rival. The car expects a five-star safety rating too. It may be added here that the BMW M3 Coupe had also won Best Performance Car Over $60,000. Further, the M3 Coupe had recently won the Popular Mechanics' 2008 Automotive Excellence Award in the performance category in the United States at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car’s 309 kW 4-litre V8 engine boasts of a muscular 400 Nm of torque and revs to an 8,400 rpm redline. It races from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and can stop from 100 km/h in just 34 meters, said a review. It is also considered the most useable super car. Rated as a sensational car on the track and on the road, car enthusiasts it is the clear winner among the a top class of similar machines. Dealers endorse the rating saying that they are already overwhelmed by customer demand for the M3 Coupe.
