Audi A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro at 27th annual Lake Wörther Tour in Austria

16 May, 2008 BY OUR AUTOMOBILE CORRESPONDENT After creating a revolutionary engine with the TDI, auto giant Audi is set to roll out the A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro. The car, which is being dubbed as a show model complete with an advanced four-cylinder TDI engine, is set to debut at the forthcoming 27th annual Lake Wörther Tour in Austria. According to an auto news report, the A3 TDI clubsport quattro extracts an incredible 450Nm of torque and maximum power of 224PS from its 2.0-litre, common rail fuel injected TDI unit, allowing it to race from rest to 62mph in just 6.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 149mph. It added that the Audi A3 TDI clubsport Quattro comes with features such as a large DTM-look rear spoiler and the bolt-on wheel arch extensions that give the car a dynamic air.

system that allows the driver to vary
the throttle response characteristics,
the exhaust sound, the level of power
assistance for the steering, the
cut-in thresholds for the ESP
stabilization system and the operating
mode of the dampers, the report added.
All of 4,254 millimeters in ength and
1,825 millimetres wide and 1,385
millimetres high, the car sports a
motorsport-look design with large rear
spoiler and racing bucket seats .
