CEO Alan Mulally to wield complete Ford power
Reporting to Mulally will help leverage assets and capabilities.

In a bid to consolidate responsibility for global product development, automobile giant Ford Motor has said that its key officials would now report directly to President and CEO Alan Mulally. The decision comes as part of a realignment strategy in the organization and is aimed at better functioning.
Reports said that the automobile manufacturer has shifted to realignment mode in its efforts to provide added focus on its business globally. This in turn is also expected to leveraging global assets and capabilities of the company better.
It is now only just about two months since the former Boeing executive Alan Mulally took over as CEO of the auto giant. As per the realignment strategy, all three of the company's automotive business unit leaders will now report directly to Mulally, instead of just one.
Accordingly, Lewis Booth, executive vice president in charge of Ford of Europe and the Premier Automotive Group, and John Parker, of Ford of Asia Pacific and Africa, and Mazda, will now report to the Mulally. Meanwhile, Mark Fields, Ford's president of the Americas, will continue to report to Mulally as earlier.
The new plan has also made Derrick Kuzak, currently group vice president of product development for the Americas, lead global product development. He would also report to Mulally.
Ford had also recently announced that Mark Schulz, the company’s president of international operations, who oversaw business in Europe, Africa and the Asia Pacific Region, would will retire early next year.
