19th August, 2005: United Airlines, the world's second largest carrier, is planning to give away iPods and round trip tickets as prizes to travellers, as it is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Canadian Web site, www.united.ca.
United Airlines intends to give way three 4GB iPod minis, one iPod 20GB and a grand prize of 50,000 Saver Award miles, permitting two roundtrip travel to over 150 destinations.
The contest began on August 16, 2005, and ends on September 9, 2005. Participants should register at site with their names, telephone number and e-mail address, and answer a skill-testing question.
Prizes are subject to the official contest rules and applicable United Airlines ticket terms and restrictions, including the Saver Award Rules, Unired Airlines said in a release.
"We are pleased to celebrate the fifth anniversary of our local Canadian site with this opportunity for our customers to win one of several great prizes," said Richard Carret, manager-Passenger Sales for Canada.
"For the last five years, the local site has tailored the United Airlines experience to our Canadian customers' needs, by offering them many of the excellent features available on our main site, while also enabling them to book a trip and get fare quotes in Canadian currency."
United Airlines is the world's second largest airline and operates over 3,400 flights a day on United, United Express and Ted to more than 200 US domestic and international destinations.
