24 July, 2005: Qatar Airways has increased its frequency of flights on Bahrain-Doha route, to cope with an increased passenger capacity due to the ongoing summer vacations.
The carrier has increased the number of flights operating every Thursday by two, increasing the total number of services to seven between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar.
On June 9, 2005, Qatar Airways added a sixth round trip flight on Thursdays on the Bahrain-Doha route. Effective July 14, a seventh round trip flight has also been added. The new flights will operate till October 29, using an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 12 in first class and 132 in economy class.
“We are pleased to offer the increased frequency to accommodate our business and leisure travellers during the peak travel months,” said Qatar Airways Bahrain Area Mohammed Ali said.
The extra flights will ensure improved connections to the airline's global network, he added.
