4 September, 2005: Winter flights and ski routes have captured the fancy of low-budget discount airlines in Europe, with easyjet announcing that it is launching three new ski routes to the popular ski destination of Geneva. The cheap, low-budget easyJet winter ski flights will connect Robin Hood Airport Dioncaster Sheffield, Edinburgh and Glasgow with Geneva. Geneva is a popular haunt of ski vacation goers in Europe.
From December 15, 2005, easyJet will starta dailiy winter ski flights from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield and Edinburgh to Geneva. The weekly Saturday flight will be from Glasgow to the gateway of the Alps, which start in December.
The easyJet flights are expected to offer Scotland, Yorkshire and Humberside skiers the opportunity to book independent ski holidays. easyJet expects quite some rush ths year for the ski vacation goers headed for Alps.
For easyjet, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is a new addition. The new daily flights to ski destination Geneva will provide even more choice to travellers in the region.
Ski resorts such as Avoriaz, Chamonix, Chatel, Les Gets, Morzine, and Courmayeur are located in Geneva.
easyjet claimed in a press release that it offers more cheap ski flights than any other airline.
easyJet offers more flights to ski destination airports than any other low-cost airline, with a choice of 82 routes to 14 ski airports. The airline said that it has revolutionised the ski flights market. The easyJet fliers seeking winter sports holidays can make their own ski packages. Those going on ski holidays and winter holidays can now book their flights, accommodation and car hire, along with transfers and activities online. Ski vacations and winter holidays are more affordable this way, claims easyJet.
easyJet has started selling ski flights and winter holidays flights tickets on its website with fares starting £29.99 one way (£54.98 return including taxes).
