9 August, 2005: Jet Airways has launched daily flights between Raipur (State Capital of Chhattisgarh) and Mumbai with daytime flights.
Jet Airways flight 9W 377 (Mumbai – Raipur) will depart Mumbai at 1110 HRS and arrive at Raipur at 1240 HRS. The return flight 9W 378 (Raipur-Mumbai) will depart Raipur at 1315 HRS and arrive at Mumbai at 1445 HRS
Jet Airways will operate this route with a Boeing 737-700 aircraft which has 20 seats in Club Premiere and 102 seats in Economy class.
With this addition, Raipur becomes the 43rd destination in Jet Airways’ domestic network. This is part of the airline’s planned expansion programme to enhance connectivity in India.
The Raipur-Mumbai service was inaugurated today at Raipur’s Mana Airport by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh. At the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Singh was presented with a commemorative plaque by Mr. Peter Luethi – Chief Operating Officer of Jet Airways. Also present were officials from various Regulatory Agencies.
Raipur is growing in importance as a centre of industry and commerce. Jet Airways’ convenient flight timings will be welcome by business travelers to and from Mumbai.
