SEATTLE SAN FRANCISCO FLIGHTS |
Two more Alaska Airlines flights
between Seattle and San Francisco
from July 7
16 May, 2008: Alaska
Airlines will start, from July 7,
2008, two additional weekday
roundtrip flights between Seattle
(Washington) and San Francisco
(California) for a total of 10 daily
roundtrips.
With the addition of the two
flights, Alaska Airlines will have
24 flights between Seattle and the
Bay Area, which is more than any
other airline has.
The decision to add two
additional weekday roundtrip flights
between Seattle and San Francisco
follows the airline’s launching on
April 27, 2008, of its new ‘West
Most’ schedule – with flights
departing on the hour or half-hour
on routes between Seattle and 6
Californian cities.
Alaska Airlines, based in SeaTac,
Washington, the United States, and
sister airline Horizon Air together
serve 16 airports in the Golden
State.
Alaska Airlines has also announced a
‘Bay Area Summer Double’ offer which
awards double miles to members of
the ‘Mileage Plan’ for flights in
the summer of 2008 between Seattle
and San Francisco; Oakland and San
Jose.
In a statement, Andrew Harrison,
managing director of planning,
Alaska Air Group, s aid: “The new
flights give our business travellers
optimum flexibility with a total of
24 daily flights between Seattle and
the three Bay Area airports.”
In the new flights between Seattle,
Washington, and San Francisco,
California, that starts on July 7,
2008, customers can qualify for
Alaska’s ‘Bay Area Summer Double’
offer by registering their ‘Mileage
Plan’ number at the website
alaskaair.com starting from May 13,
2008.
'Double miles’ apply on the non-stop
Seattle-San Francisco,
Seattle-Oakland, and Seattle-San
Jose flights between June 1, 2008,
and August 31, 2008. Customers can

Alaska Airlines’ new announcement
comes soon after the carrier’s
frequent-flier programme ‘Mileage
Plan’ winning the ‘Programme of the
Year’ award at InsideFlyer
magazine’s 20th Annual Freddie
Awards.
Apart form its 10 flights between
Seattle and San Francisco, Alaska
Airlines’ ‘West Most’ schedule
includes 15 daily roundtrip
Seattle-Los Angeles flights
departing on the hour south-bound
and on the half-hour north-bound,
according to the company’s
statement.
Alaska Airlines also offers
departures nearly every 2 hours on
the hour or half-hour for flights
between Seattle and Oakland (7 daily
roundtrips), Orange County (9 daily
roundtrips), San Diego (7 daily
roundtrips, increasing to 8 in June
2008), and San Jose (7 daily
roundtrips).
Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air
together serve 93 cities through an
extensive network in Alaska, the
Lower 48, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico.
